Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Temp Mail Pro ("we," "us") collects when you use our free and premium temporary email services, how we use it, and how long we keep it.

Information We Collect

Free tier (no account)

No registration is required. A randomly generated temporary email address is created for you and saved in your browser's local storage so it persists between visits. Any email sent to that address is stored just long enough to display it to you and is then automatically deleted (see Retention below).

Premium accounts

If you create a premium account, we collect the email address and password you provide, or your identity from Google or GitHub if you sign in that way. We also store the custom email address you choose, and, if you set one up, the real inbox address you ask us to forward mail to.

Automatically collected

We read your IP address on requests solely to prevent abuse (rate limiting) — for example, to stop a single visitor from generating unlimited addresses. It is not stored long-term or used to track you across visits.

Cookies

Premium accounts use a single strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. It is httpOnly (not readable by page scripts) and is not used for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking. The free tier does not use any cookies.

How We Use Information

We use the information above only to operate the service: delivering and displaying your email messages, keeping you signed in, forwarding mail when you've set that up, preventing abuse, and — for premium subscriptions — processing payment through our payment provider, Stripe.

How Long We Keep Data

• Free-tier messages are deleted automatically after about 10 hours.
• Premium messages are deleted automatically after 30 days.
• Account and profile data (email, custom address, forwarding address) is kept until you ask us to delete it — see Your Choices below.

Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service:

• Cloudflare — receives inbound email and, for premium forwarding, relays a copy to the address you specify.
• Supabase — hosts premium account data and premium inbox messages.
• Upstash — hosts free-tier inbox messages and rate-limiting data.
• Google / GitHub — only if you choose to sign in with one of them.
• Stripe — processes payment if you subscribe to a premium plan. We do not receive or store your full payment card details ourselves.

Email Forwarding

If you set up forwarding to a real inbox, our provider requires that address to be verified (via a confirmation link it emails directly) before any mail is relayed to it — we cannot forward mail to an address that hasn't confirmed it. Once forwarded, the copy is subject to the receiving mail provider's own policies, which are outside our control.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections, row-level database access controls, and secure session cookies. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

Since the free tier requires no account, there is nothing tied to your identity to delete — clearing your browser's local storage removes the saved address. For premium accounts, you can contact us at support@pro-temp-mail.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data.

Children's Privacy

Temp Mail Pro is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
